The pax number from your reservation bookings is shared via the integration.
If your bookings show a group size of just 1 person and you are expecting more guests, then you may be collecting the pax in a non-standard way. We will help you find ways to resolve this.
Usually, the number of purchases in a booking is the number of guests.
E.g.,  x [Skydive] is for 5 guests.
Or  x [Afternoon Vineyard Tour] is for 2 guests.
However, some experiences require just a single purchase for a whole group, such as if you have a venue or equipment rental operation.
E.g.,  x [Private Pontoon] reservation – but this can hold up to 15 participants.
Or  x [Double Snowmobile] reservation – but this is for 2 participants, a driver and a passenger.
In these scenarios, the pax number that Wherewolf receives is "1".
How do I allow more waivers for a booking?
1) Use our "Oversubscribed" function
"Oversubscribed" is a function we can turn on or off for your account. This means that any number of guests can use the pre-arrival waiver link for your bookings. It can be one or one hundred! This is great for operators who want flexibility and can use their onsite processes to make sure the correct pax is participating.
Oversubscribed will not work on the iPad app.
Oversubscribed cannot be applied to some activities, and not others.
2) Set a default pax size to your activities
Activities can get a default pax size. If you know that every "Private Charter" will be up to 12 guests, then we can set every single Private Charter booking to allow up to 12 waivers – even if there is only 3 people planning on coming. You can set this yourself by following these instructions, or ask our team to do this for you by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
3) Gather the pax size elsewhere
Some reservation systems may provide other fields to gather pax sizes in. If you've done this – e.g., allowing the guest to book "1x Private Charter", but with a dropdown menu of 1 to 12 where the guest can select their desired group size – then we may be able to use the number selected here. Please take a screenshot of this field and share it with the support team. Note that if this field is configured inconsistently, we may not be able to create a rule for your specific integration until you have corrected this in your booking software.
