The Wherewolf Waiver App can be used offline, ensuring seamless operations. This includes low signal, wifi and internet outages, or other connectivity issues.
For offline mode to function in your daily operations, please ensure the app is opened in wifi and full connectivity at the start of each day. Returning to signal will push your waivers back to the servers and database, and it's recommended you do this at the end of each day or as soon as possible.
How can I check my app connectivity?
How does it work?
Your app connects to Wherewolf servers and databases each day. If you have a reservation system it will pull your daily bookings, as well as any guests who have already completed waivers. The cloud icon will appear with a tick, signalling full connectivity.
Once the app has loaded, you can take the device offline and continue to:
- check in un-booked guests
- check in booked guests under their reservations
- see your guest overview and bookings overview with the most up-to-date information on that device
Because you are offline, your app will not:
- be updated with new information (such as waivers completed on other devices, or new bookings)
- retrieve a new day of booking data, if left overnight
- update your database with new information (such as adding guest records to your dashboard, or sending waivers to other devices).
Waivers collected offline are stored internally, as we can see here by clicking on the cloud icon:
.
We recommend returning to full connectivity as soon as possible to enable the sharing of waivers from your app to your database.
Can my pre-arrival waivers use offline mode?
As the pre-arrival waivers are web-based, they cannot be used offline.
Offline Mode is a built into your Waiver App to ensure that your business can continue to gather waivers, even if your internet goes down. The Waiver App is available from the Play Store and the App Store; you can download it to your smartphone, tablet, or iPads.
