Wherewolf waiver links can expire. This keeps your business protected from waivers being added retroactively to your bookings.
If the waiver has expired, the start time and date of the booking has already passed. Instead of accepting any more waivers, the link will show your guests an error message like this:
If the guest is reporting the above error message then check the time and date of their booking. You may choose to change the time of their booking which will allow waivers once again.
But their booking is today!
If the activity time and date has passed then the waiver link has expired – even if the date is correct.
It's important to note that some reservation systems will assign a default time slot if you do not have them configured.
Example:
- ☀️ You run a daily Sunrise tour. Because you only run one of this tour per day (and sunrise changes seasonally!), you have not set up a departure time in your reservation system.
- ⌛️ Because this information cannot be empty, your reservation system automatically fills it with 00:00am.
- 🌛 But now, your booking data is telling Wherewolf that your booking left at midnight last night!
If this sounds like you, chat to your reservation system and find out how they can change this automatic timeslot.
Do you want your guests to be able to complete waivers for times and dates in the past?
We simply can't let you do that. The waiver would be insecure and invalid. Waiver providers that accept waivers for past times and dates are jeopardising your business.
If you think there's another reason your guests cannot access their waiver, check this guide for answers or create a support ticket with the friendly Wherewolf crew.
