If you offer rentals or optional extras on your tours, our equipment functionality can help you manage this. It could be to ensure all your guests have safety equipment before embarking on a tour, or to track casual rentals. There are three separate ways you can manage your equipment.
1) Staff select equipment from Waiver App
Your Guest Defaults panel allows you to select equipment on behalf of the guests you’re checking in. Read more about our Guest Defaults here.
All guests using the waiver app will be automatically allocated that equipment until you change or remove it.
Best used for: Tours or groups where every guest proceeds through the waiver app and all require the same equipment, such as bike tours where each guest must take a helmet and GPS or helicopter tours where guests are boarding the same helicopter.
2) Staff assigns equipment from the dashboard manifest
Alternatively, once your guests have checked in you can allocate equipment from the manifest. Read more about your manifest here. This is done after check-in and can be done for guests of any activity. This could aso be for your ‘rental’ activity guests, so they can sign a rental waiver before you allocate the gear they’re hiring.
Best used for: Assigning equipment to individuals after they've completed a waiver, such as if guest on a sea kayaking tour asks to borrow a dry-bag.
3) Guest selects their own equipment during the waiver process.
The guest can also select their own equipment during the waiver process whether optional tour extras or hiring equipment. You can modify their selection afterwards in the dashboard if you need to!
Best used for: Instances where the guest can indicate which piece of equipment they need, such as selecting a certain size of protective clothing, or selecting add-ons to their tour.
