The Photo Capture feature is available on our Equipped tier, and has a few simple instructions to keep in mind.
Guests can take selfies, photos of their license, or upload images to their waiver. You can ask our friendly support team if this feature is right for you!
This feature can be used to gather identification of your guests, to record the equipment and any damage, or store licenses and certifications.
Want to upload before and after photos yourself? Easy – try our Before And After Feature!
How does it work?
Within the waiver, guests are asked to open their camera or upload a file to attach an image to the waiver. These images are saved on the waiver document along with the rest of the guest's information.
You can also gather multiple photos at once, such as for the front and back of a license. Here is a demo of this – remember, you can change the question text!
To view these images, simply open the guest waiver document. This may also be available directly in your reservation system, if we have a 2-way integration!
How to find a waiver as PDF document
Helpful Tips:
- Where possible, we recommend uploading a maximum of 4 images to avoid issues with slow upload time or the upload failing.
- This feature processes a lot of information! In situations where the internet connectivity speed is slow then the maximum number of images may be less and upload errors might be more frequent.
- In the event the image upload fails on the waiver app (such as due to larger file sizes, or poor bandwidth), the waiver app will store the guest waiver internally until there is enough connectivity. You will not lose any waivers! When this happens, you will see a notification of this in "Unsynced Waivers" as shown below. In this instance, you can take the device to an area with high speed internet so that the waivers can be synced.
- If the image upload fails during the pre-arrival waiver form (such as due to larger file sizes, or poor bandwidth) the guest will be notified and asked to re-try.
